Bungie is apparently considering adding a more official flavor to Sparrow racing in its science-fiction, online first-person shooter Destiny.

Gamers can navigate the sprawling futuristic environments mounted on hoverbikes to save precious time, and the quality of life feature has apparently evolved into something else entirely.

Racing the Speeder Bike look-alikes is already something big in Destiny, with some players even going as far as organizing unofficial races and leagues to compete in.

Bungie Community Manager Eric Osborne has been asked during a recent interview whether or not we're going to see any official steps being made in that direction, and while he has mentioned that the idea came up at the studio, he has also made it clear that, for the time being, there are no guarantees that racing will be implemented.

He has told GameSpot that there are dozens of cool ideas flying around the studio, and that part of the ongoing development process is figuring out which ideas hold water and what offers the best player experience.

The team is analyzing feedback from the game's fans and is pondering which issues and ideas to go after first, figuring out how to deliver the experiences that players want in a timely and satisfying manner.
