Paris Hilton has been bragging for some time now that she's “killing it” as a DJ, playing for mad sums of money, sometimes as much as several million dollars for a couple of days, and it's finally come to the attention of the people in the industry.

Several other DJs have expressed their disbelief at Paris' skills behind the DJ booth, but none has gone ahead and written such a vitriolic account of her entrance in the industry as Deadmau5. On his Tumblr page, the producer vented what seemed to be a long-harbored anger with the socialite.

Deadmau5 claims Paris has no skills and she's an embarrassment for the people in the DJ business

“So Paris makes a billion dollars playing a CD at a club. thats great.  how is this news again?  Personally, i would pay about as much to see her ‘perform’ as [race car driving] fans would pay to watch me struggle to get out of first gear and 20 feet off the starting grid  in an Indy500 race without ending up in a wreck,” Deadmau5 begins.

The rants comes as Paper Magazine recently reported that she picked up a $2.7 million (€2.1 million) check for just four nights of DJ-ing in Ibiza. The Mouse was clearly not happy to learn that a person who has just joined the DJ scene as an amateur can make that much money, while other artists struggle for years before they can get even half of those sums.

“So, dont you think it would be a tad insulting to the professionals and fans of the driving world if i just showed up one day… dated a driver, then hopped on the circuit the following week ‘just coz i can’?  god… even i know my [expletive] limits… [expletive],” Deadmau5 continued his rant.

His conclusion was that Paris was nothing more than a people magnet, a name to put on a poster to make sure people would come to a certain club.

Paris is not phased, she hits back announcing that she will continue to “kill it,” her fans rally in support

Incredibly, Paris had the gall to hit back at her detractor with a cheeky tweet, “I find it hilarious when others try to badmouth me in order to get attention. Sorry that I'm #Killingit while doing what I love & live for.” And what's probably more incredible is that she received a lot of supportive messages from her followers, who said that she was indeed doing a great job.

Paris slammed the producer for trying to get famous off her success, that's why he wrote the rant, but Deadmau5 replied that he was already famous and made allusions to her raunchy tape when comparing how Paris herself became famous to the world.
