Deadlings – Rotten Edition, a side-scrolling 2D game made and published by ONE MORE LEVEL, has been released on Linux and all the other supported platforms.

Yet another side-scrolling arcade game has been released on Steam for Linux, and this time players will be able to control zombie minions in more than 20 levels and face numerous dangers. The developers have even added a Nightmare Mode for hardcore gamers.

"Death is lonely. He has zero friends on his FaceTome account and no one to hang out with. So, in order to feel better he begins 'Project Deadlings'. Death buys a factory where he can build his laboratory and begin training a massive army of zombie minions. Can you help Death to kill his boredom? Will you be able to navigate all 60+ levels available in Deadlings? Will you complete Project Deadlings, and successfully train all of your zombie minions?" reads the Steam synopsis.

The system requirements are pretty low and they won't be an issue for many users. Gamers will need at least Ubuntu 12.04, an Intel Core2 Duo 1.8 Ghz or equivalent CPU, 2 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M video card with 256MB, and 1.5 GB of HDD space.

Deadlings – Rotten Edition also comes with a promotion that is set to expire on November 12.
