“Hercules,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and “Boyhood” add to the list of new entries for this week

“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” is now the most pirated movie of the week, even though the copy that’s managed to climb to the top is a mere webrip, which means the quality isn’t exactly top notch.

The movie featuring Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke and Keri Russell is a new entry and managed to take down comedy “Let’s Be Cops,” last week’s top movie. According to a chart published by TorrentFreak, the film featuring Damon Wayans and Jake Johnson, has dropped one spot to the second place.

The week’s second new entry went straight to the third place. “Hercules,” featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, takes another spin on the classic mythical story of the Greek demigod. The film wasn’t exactly a success among critics, but it’s got enough action scenes to keep you entertained.

Up at number four is “The Expendables 3,” a movie that’s making a return after leading the chart for weeks on end several months back. As a reminder, the film leaked about three weeks before it even hit the theaters. The DVD screener made the rounds on the Internet and attracted quite a scandal from the Hollywood studio behind the film, who tried its best to get people to stop downloading the copy or to take down the copies available online.

Now that the release of the DVD and BluRay copies are scheduled for November 25, it seems like history repeats itself as the copies are already online.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” takes over the fifth spot this week, down one place from last week’s results. The movie features Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and you may even recognize the voice of famous Jackass star Johnny Knoxville. Following next is “Step Up All In,” a movie that took up the second place last week.

Guardians of the Galaxy lands on the pirates' radar

At number seven is a new entry that will surely rise to the top in the coming weeks, and judging by the success it had in theaters, we’re likely to see it stay there for quite some time. “Guardians of the Galaxy” has yet to be released on DVD and BluRay, but it seems like a decent copy has made its way online if pirates are finally downloading the summer blockbuster.

Animation film “How to Train Your Dragon 2” slipped five spots since last week and ended up at number eight.

Next up, at number nine, is the week’s last new entry, called “Boyhood.” The film features Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke, and tells the story of a young man from age 5 to age 18. What’s most impressive about the film is that it took 12 years to film, using the same actors and, more importantly, Ellar Coltrane in the role of Mason, as he grew up.

Last on the list is “A Most Wanted Man,” a film that features Philip Seymour Hoffman in one of his final roles, as well as Rachel McAdams, Willem Dafoe, and Robin Wright.
