The company knows it cannot please everyone

The general mood is positive when it comes to Star Wars Battlefront after the initial reveal of the title, but there are numerous hardcore fans of the series who believe that DICE and Electronic Arts are not adding anything meaningful to it with the new installment.

To the credit of the two companies, a senior developer, producer Jesper Nielsen, has chosen to take on the accusations and explain why the new title is designed to redefine the entire core structure of the franchise.

Speaking on Reddit, he states that Star Wars Battlefront will be both fun to play and immersive, allowing gamers to choose on which of its aspects they want to focus.

The developer admits that some words might be overused by the marketing campaign for the title, but he also believes that there are moments created by the studio so far that are truly amazing, from both a gameplay and a graphical standpoint.

Nielsen states, "Yes, content is also important. Will the final list of content please everyone? Maybe not, that’s always hard to do, but I think most will be more than satisfied."

It seems that the producer understands why some players are disappointed with the reveal and the fact that no major innovation is being made to the formula. But he also believes that even those who are critical now will like the experience when it is launched.

Star Wars Battlefront aims to give gamers control

Star Wars Battlefront might not be the massive step forward that some fans were expecting, but DICE seems to be genuinely interested in making sure that fans never have to adapt to the game.

The studio is offering the community a choice between playing from a first and third-person perspective, and the modes are designed for variety.

The game will also have a solid number of maps, and each of them is designed to support another type of approach, in an effort to create experiences that are engaging for as many members of the community as possible.

Star Wars Battlefront will be launched on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony on November 17.

The Battle of Jakku downloadable content will be added on December 8, but those who place a pre-order can experience it on December 1 and also get access to other advantages.
