Although Techland, creators of the upcoming Dying Light action zombie survival game, announced that although the retail version would be slightly delayed in Europe and other territories, the boxed game would still arrive on time in North America.

Those who pre-order Dying Light before release day will receive various bonuses, which are subjected to the retailer. For example, the PC version of Dying Light pre-ordered via Steam will get you the Be the Zombie DLC, which will allow you to play as a zombie.

However, if you pre-order Dying Light on PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC from Best Buy, you will receive $10 in reward certificates, as well as some other free DLCs: Ninja and Secret Agent.

“These great character DLCs are available when you pre-order Dying Light from Best Buy! NINJA Don a mask of a Japanese assassin and blend into the shadows of the quarantine zone. SPECIAL AGENT Get ready to dive deep into the city jungle with a protective vest, knee pads, and sturdy boots,” says the description of the free bonus DLCs.

The free DLC are purely cosmetic and don't offer any advantages in-game

Keep in mind that these DLCs won't give you any bonuses while playing Dying Light, so don't expect to be invisible when using the Ninja mask and roaming the quarantine zone.

Developer Techland confirmed that these DLCs contain skins and are purely cosmetic so that players who own them stand out while playing multiplayer.

“We want to give players the ability to stand-out from the crowd of other survivors, be different from all the other players in co-op, and add that little personal touch. Looking good is a necessity - especially in a zombie crisis.”

It's also worth mentioning that by pre-ordering Dying Light from Best Buy on any platform, you will also receive the Be the Zombie DLC, which is also available on Steam, along with free shipping.
