Fans of zombie fiction are about to have a blast: Techland has just announced "Dying Light: Nightmare Row," a tie-in novel for the upcoming post-apocalyptic survival video game.

The novel is penned by Raymond Benson, well-known author of over 30 titles. His latest famous fictional foray is in the realm of a certain spy we all love, with the official James Bond follow-up novels, commissioned by the Ian Fleming Estate.

The upcoming novel will take place in Harran, following 18-year-old American athlete Mel Wyatt and his sister, who are stranded as a result of the outbreak.

The reveal comes from the game's official Twitter account, and no other details have been revealed so far.

Dying Light takes place in a fictional city similar to the favelas of South America, an area cordoned off as a result of the outbreak of a deadly virus turning the population into mindless killing machines.

Players will have to undergo a series of missions set in an open world, as well as to follow an intense central narrative, exploring the game world and the relationships that evolve during the apocalypse.

The game features a dynamic day and night cycle, a ton of parkour and daring stunts, weapon crafting, a cooperative mode, as well as plenty of other surprises.

Dying Light is coming out at the end of the month, headed to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
