Just days ago, police officers in northern Sweden arrested two individuals, said to be in their 20s and 40s, respectively, who they say were trying to smuggle nappies.

Information shared with the public says that a total of 25,179 nappies were found hidden inside these smugglers' car. By the looks of it, the duo bought the nappies in Norway and were looking to sell them in eastern Europe.

Funnily enough, word has it that the police officers who arrested these two smugglers spent a whole night counting nappies and trying to figure out exactly how many the duo were trying to illegally transport to eastern European countries.

According to Mirror, the two individuals were taken into police custody because they forgot to report that they were carrying this many nappies with them and because they failed to pay the duty fee.

“They did not report that they were transporting the goods across the border from Norway to Sweden,” Swedish policeman Stefan Fredriksson said. “You are accountable to report it to customs and pay the duty fee,” he added.

It is understood that, as surprising as this may sound, nappy-smuggling is actually big business. This is because nappy prices vary greatly between Norway and eastern Europe.

Needless to say, the nappies found in these individuals' car were confiscated. As far as the two individuals are concerned, chances are that they will spend some time behind bars.
