Indian company Lava Mobiles launched an entry-level smartphone a few days ago, the Lava Flair P1, which is very cheap but also low on specs.

However, if you thought that the company couldn't go any cheaper, then think again because Lava Iris 100 Lite has just been released in India and it costs only Rs 3,099 outright, which is about $50 or €45.

Customers in India will be able to purchase the Lava Iris 100 Lite beginning this week through all major retailers (online and offline) across the country, a new report claims.

But what do you even get for that price? Well, the answer is very simple: a very outdated version of Android and extremely low specs.

In fact, the only thing that might attract customers in purchasing the Lava Iris 100 Lite might be the low retail price because other than that the smartphone is totally unimpressive.

No 3G connectivity, but Wi-Fi is in to save the day

First and foremost, Lava Iris 100 Lite ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is totally unacceptable even for such a low-tier device.

Furthermore, the smartphone sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. In addition, the Iris 100 Lite comes with a 2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as VGA camera in the front for selfies.

Hardware-wise, Lava Iris 100 Lite is equipped with a 1GHz single-core processor, which is complemented by 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory. Luckily, the smartphone packs microSD card slot for memory expansion.

On the positive side, Lava's entry-level smartphone offers dual-SIM support, as well as EDGE (sorry, no 3G connectivity), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1,400 mAh battery.

That's about all you get for purchasing Lava's budget-friendly Android smartphone, so if you still find it appealing, you could get it, but only in black color.
