The team at the Paradox Development Studio announces that it is planning to launch a new expansion for Crusader Kings II, called Way of Live, on the PC using digital distribution service on December 16 of this year for the price of 7.99 dollars or Euro.

The new content is designed to allow gamers to focus more on the role-playing elements of the game, which nominally belongs to the grand strategy genre, although it has strayed from it previously.

This means that Way of Live for Crusader Kings II will include more ways to seduce romantic targets and break up with those who disappoint, and a new Focus for player-controlled characters is added to influence what kind of core events will happen during their life time.

The Paradox team working on the expansion states, “Featuring hundreds of new events as well as over 20 new event pictures, Way of Life will give players control over their characters in ways never before available - for better, for worse, or for entertainment.”

Gamers can also choose new diplomatic interactions, including duels, spying on family members to keep them inline, more ways to deal with prisoners, and more.

The Focus domains include: Rulership, Business, Hunting, War, Family, Carousing , Seduction, Intrigue, Scholarship, and Theology.

The company claims that hundreds of new events are introduced in Way of Life for Crusader Kings II and there are 20 new images.

It will be interesting to see how the treachery that defines the world of the game is affected and how various mods can use the events and the Focus feature.

Crusader Kings II is one of the most complex and enjoyable titles of the moment

The Paradox title is not easy to learn but it does offer some unique experiences, many of which make for fascinating After Action Reports.

Crusader Kings II has already received a range of expansions designed to add more game mechanics and to eliminate bugs and balance the overall experience.

Some fans believe that Paradox is at the moment simply adding non-essential ideas to get more money from the community, but there are others who appreciate the extra depth and the fact that free updates are also released alongside every expansion.

It’s unclear whether there are plans to add any sort of additional content after Way of Life is introduced.
