Microsoft confirms that its upcoming E3 2015 press event is so filled with new announcements, demonstrations, and surprises that it's decided to push back a few major Xbox One exclusives to August, for Gamescom 2015. These include Crackdown and Scalebound, which join Quantum Break.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo convention is the biggest gaming-related event that takes place in the U.S. and many different hardware makers, game developers, and publishers will flock next week to Los Angeles in order to participate.

Microsoft is no exception, as the large console and software maker confirmed some time ago that it would hold a special E3 2015 press conference on June 15, one day before the actual event opens its doors. The 90-minute briefing will be filled with all sorts of announcements, presentations, and surprises.

Some games are skipping E3 for Gamescom

Unfortunately, even with a 90-minute slot, Microsoft's Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, confirms on Xbox Wire that he and his team couldn't fit everything into the allocated time.

As such, quite a few big exclusives, such as Crackdown or Scalebound, will be joining Quantum Break as part of the Gamescom 2015 lineup for Microsoft.

"Having a jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3 means that there simply isn’t enough time to give each of our upcoming titles its well-deserved time in the spotlight. We’ve decided to save some of our most eagerly-awaited future titles for Gamescom in August. Rest assured that titles like Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound will be front and center at Gamescom along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10," he explains.

The extra time will be put to good use, so that the titles can have a solid showing in August, at the large German expo.

While E3 2015 kicks off on June 16, Gamescom 2015 starts on August 5 and lasts until August 9. You can expect plenty of other big announcements to arrive from Microsoft, as well as other large gaming companies, at the European event.
