Has noise damping material on all panels and the front door

With all PC cases requiring a standard set of features without which they have no chance of selling, it falls to cool but ultimately unnecessary additions to set them apart from one another. Corsair focused on silence when it developed the Carbide Series 330R.

There are several ways to limit the noise made by a PC, but it usually falls to the individual coolers of the CPU and graphics cards to do most of the work.

However, no matter how good the bearing of a fan is, a hum will always be heard, and it may turn into a clearly audible whir when the PC load is high enough.

At that stage, only good noise isolation can offset the noise, and that's what Corsair decided to pay special attention to when it created the Corsair Carbide Series 330 Titanium Edition chassis.

Corsair Carbide Series 330 Titanium Edition specs

This chassis isn't actually made from titanium of course. Instead, it is constructed out of aluminum and boasts noise damping material on the top panel, side panels, and front door.

That means that it prevents most sounds from coming out even when the fans of the CPU and the graphics card(s) are running full-tilt. It might actually eliminate the need for noise-canceling headphones if you think about it.

There are a number of tool-free 5.25-inch and 3.5-inch drive bays inside, with 2.5-inch compatibility for the latter of course. No sense in leaving SSDs out in a rut after all.

There is also a built-in three-speed fan controller on the front panel, for even greater control over how fast (and thus, how nosy) fans are. The case fans at least.

Speaking of which, you can install two 120 mm or 140 mm fans on the front, two similar ones at the top, and one 120 mm fan at the back.

As for cable routing, the interior is specially laid out according to the Direct Airflow Path, with built-in cable routing cutouts.

All in all, the Corsair Carbide Series 330R Titanium Edition chassis measures 495 x 210 x 482 mm / 19.5 x 8.3 x 19 inches. Enough for even the best Mini ITX, Micro ATX, ATX, Extended ATX motherboards and ATX power supplies.

Availability and pricing

The Carbide Series 330R Titanium Edition PC has a price of $99.99 / €99.99, which is lower than some models that lack the sound-damping material. You'll get a 2-year warranty for it.
