Microsoft has many partnerships with OEMs when it comes to Windows Phone, but they are active on the smartphone market. Even though the Redmond-based company doesn't ask for any license fees for Windows Phone, almost all of the smartphones launched by these OEMs are only available locally.

Obviously, that's not a bad thing, but Microsoft needs every bit of push from these OEMs to get more market share. That being said, during Mobile World Congress 2015, some handset makers showcased their new Windows Phone smartphones or prototypes.

Kyocera and Acer are two of the companies that plan to launch Windows Phone handsets in the coming months, but here is another smartphone for you that might or might not be available in your country.

The folks over at WindowsCentral have found a new device called Coship X1, which manufactured by a company named Coship BVC. The smartphone can be ordered with either Android or Windows Phone onboard.

It has more than decent specs for a Windows Phone handset

The X1 has a mid-range specs sheet, which is somewhat customizable, so depending on country it might be with slightly better features.

First of all, Coship X1 is dust and water resistant but also features a premium design. These are the traits that may differentiate it from other mid-range smartphones.

The device will come with a 5.5-inch HD (720p) or full HD (1080p) display that features Corning Gorilla Glass coating. It will also be powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Coship X1 will pack 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Another major feature is the 13-megapixel main camera on the back with dual-LED flash, autofocus and video recording.

It also comes with a 5-megapixel camera in the front and a more than decent 2600 mAh battery. These are quite nice features for a mid-range Windows Phone smartphone but could also be competitive on the Android market if priced accordingly.
