R&B singer Ciara has become the latest victim of known prankster Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian “journalist” who has made a name for himself in the last couple of years by assaulting / embarrassing celebrities on the red carpet.

Less than a week ago, also in Paris, where Fashion Week is underway, Sediuk attacked Kim Kardashian, whom he almost knocked down when he tried to throw himself at her feet and embrace her legs.

Neither time was he charged with a crime.

On the loose, Sediuk strikes again

Though he almost hurt Kim Kardashian and he definitely gave her the scare of a lifetime (mostly because he tried to “hug” her as 200+ people, fans and journalists, had formed a tight circle around her car and were screaming her name and trying to get a picture), Sediuk was not charged.

Parisian police told the media that it didn’t consider such a minor incident something worthy of their time, so he got away with it. This meant that he was free to strike again, this time to more hilarious results.

When Ciara arrived at the Valentino show some hours ago, as she was posing for pictures, Sediuk removed his raincoat and exposed his brand new black thong – and then hugged the singer and simply slipped into the picture with her.

Ciara seemed more amused than anything, and even if she was a bit creeped out or scared, she didn’t let it show, but handled it with grace; that is to say, she continued to smile and just let the bodyguards do their job and pry the strange man off of her.

The Daily Mail has the photos. Word online is that Sediuk hasn’t been arrested and won’t face any charges from this recent prank / attack either.

A history of “pranks,” some more or less violent

Sediuk first attained international attention as the guy who tried to kiss Will Smith on the lips at the Russian premiere of his movie, and got slapped instead. At the time, no one but his fellow Ukrainians knew who he was, so many rushed to scold Smith for “overreacting” and getting violent with a man who, they said, only wanted to show affection, albeit in a very awkward way.

Then, he crotch-hugged Leonardo DiCaprio and pulled a similar stunt on Bradley Cooper as well, both times at huge red carpet events. The “crotch-hug” is a move he actually made famous, which consists of him dropping to his knees in front of a man, wrapping his arms around his hips and burying his face in his crotch.

Both DiCaprio and Cooper were laughing when it happened to them, so it’s probably not as unpleasant as it sounds. Or at least it’s not painful.

Sediuk didn’t stop here, though. At the Cannes Film Festival this year, he crawled on the red carpet and tried to get under America Ferrara’s dress, as she was posing for pictures. After the Kim Kardashian “attack,” he explained that he was only trying to “hug” these two women’s legs, which he describes as his version of the crotch-hug for women.

From the way he pranked Ciara, it seems he’s trying something different. Borat would be proud.
