Christina has a new album coming this year, by the way

Britney Spears just got defeated at her own game - by none than former rival Christina Aguilera. The latter was on Jimmy Fallon the other night to promote her new stint on The Voice as judge and mentor, and she agreed to take a spin at the Wheel of Musical Impressions.

This is a new game introduced by the talk show host, where each pushes the button and gets a random song, which they must perform in the voice of a random fellow singer. They had to work with jingles.

Fallon held his own wonderfully, which is a great feat even considering the fact that he’s a talented singer: this is, after all, Christina Aguilera he went up against, one of the most famous and talented singers of her generation.

She did Cher, Britney Spears and Shakira, and delivered beautiful impersonations of the first two. People online are saying that she actually made Britney sound better than Britney does in real life, and I tend to agree with them, because she brought a bit more range to her representation of Britney’s voice.

Granted, this whole segment was pre-planned because Christina is too much of a diva to do something this serious in the spur of the moment, but it was still great and it still served as a reminder that, even though her last two albums underperformed, she remains a force to be reckoned with.

Enjoy!
