Chris Pine is talented and handsome, so no wonder he has the entire Internet falling at his feet. As the video below can confirm, he’s also good at impersonations, and despite his faint protests to the contrary, yes, he does a mean Christopher Walken.

Now, Walken impersonations are a dime a dozen, particularly because the actor has a very distinct way of speaking and gesturing whenever he’s telling a story. What sets Pine’s apart is how measured and toned-down it is, to the point where you could probably close your eyes and not be able to tell it was another man than Walken doing the talking.

In all honesty, never before has a story about a lion sitting in the shade of a tree sounded more impressive.

Also on Corden’s show (but not included in the video below), Pine talked about his single-tear moment at the Oscars 2015 in February, during John Legend and Common’s “Selma” performance.

As you can see in the GIF, at the end of it, he had a single tear streaking down his cheek, which he made no effort to wipe away before the cameras caught it. Corden joked that this was the single most beautiful image of a man crying, but Pine tried to play it down, saying he got emotional and wasn’t afraid to show it.

Still, he added, he did have some people mock him for it.
