The standalone expansion to SR4 is coming out in January

Developer Volition has just released a brand new trailer featuring a musical number, starring not just anyone, but Satan himself, alongside some of the most well-known characters from the upcoming Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.

As any Saints Row fan can attest, Volition's action-adventure titles are a bit whimsical, to say the least. The weirdness vibe has been built upon in the upcoming standalone expansion to Saints Row IV, and you can clearly see some of that in the song-infused trailer below.

Players will assume control of Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington, engaging in various hellish activities, complete with use of superhuman abilities, trying to disrupt the quiet lifestyle of Hell and incur Satan's wrath.

The open-world sandbox game takes place in New Hades, an all-new environment comprised of five islands, Shantytown, Barrens, Downtown, Forge and The Den.

Anyway, you've just got to love a song that ends in a "murder spreeeeee." Saints Row: Gat out of Hell is coming out on January 20 in North America and January 23, headed to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms.

In addition to this, Saints Row 4 is headed to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles too, dubbed Saints Row IV: Re-Elected.
