The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are announcing that a major new patch is being launched for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PC.

It’s unclear when the same changes are expected to be offered on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

The development team is saying that it has introduced a range of improvements for matchmaking and connectivity, which means that it will be easier for players to get into battle as soon as they log in.

System Hack has been tweaked as promised before and a range of other gameplay problems have been eliminated.

At the same time, Sledgehammer Games reveals that security has been updated for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which probably means that cheaters might soon find themselves banned from the shooter.

The user interface is also better and there are some changes to Ranked Play.

Fans of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare who want to get a full rundown of the modifications made to the multiplayer need to click the button at the end of this article.

As always, gamers should continue to be on the lookout for problems with the game in order to offer feedback to Sledgehammer Games, which in turn can be transformed into fixes in future updates.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare needs a one-year life cycle

At the moment, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare might be the biggest entertainment launch of the year and the leader of various software charts, but Sledgehammer Games and Activision need to make sure that the shooter remains attractive to the fan community in the long term.

This means all issues need to be addressed as soon as possible after they are revealed and new mechanics should be added to respond to requests from players.

Sledgehammer Games is now introducing a new Supply Drop Daily Challenge system which will give gamers more ways to get access to the items they need, including some exclusive gear.

Probably new systems will also arrive in 2015.

Also next year, gamers will get access to the first downloadable content pack for the new Call of Duty, which is called Havoc.

Gamers who buy it will be able to experience four new maps for multiplayer and will also get access to the much-talked-about Exo Zombies mode, which features waves of undead and players who need to cooperate in order to stay alive.
