Another update will be available soon with more enhancements

The folks over at Sledgehammer have just announced Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare players on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 should check their games for a new update, the first released in 2015.

The update released by Call of Duty developers doesn't contain too many changes, but they're important and meant to enhance players' gameplay experience even further.

The most important is definitely the “connectivity improvements,” which should lower the number of disconnections when playing multiplayer. More improvements have been made to the content management for purchase via In-Game Store.

These are the only changes confirmed by developers, but more updates will be released very soon. Keep in mind that these changes are available for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

As we mentioned earlier, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare players should expect another update very soon, which is supposed to bring many of the improvements that have already been made available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

More updates for PS3 and Xbox 360 are already in the works

In case you're wondering why PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles are the last to receive the improvements already available on the other three platforms, here is Sledgehammer's explanation:

“Our game update development process is to submit and verify changes on current gen systems first, and then apply those changes to prior generation as quickly as possible. Console players on Xbox 360 received an update this week with the changes marked below.

“Another update will be coming soon, and many of the same changes made for the PC and next-gen console versions will be applied. Full Patch Notes will be released once the update is made available.”

Even more updates are already in the works at developer Sledgehammer, which will bring Daily Challenges and more new features, fixes and improvements.

We'll be keeping an eye out for any additional details on the matter, so stay tuned. Have you downloaded the update yet? Any other changes that you noticed except the ones confirmed by developers?
