It will probably be linked to the third DLC

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to soon get access to the new Ascendance downloadable content, but it seems that the development team at Sledgehammer Games is already exploring possibilities for even more new DLC for the title.

A new image from the official Twitter account of studio leader Michael Condrey shows half of a pistol that will be added to the title at some point in the future but offers no further details about it or about the way the team plans to use the weapon.

The developer has previously asked the community what classic weapons from the history of Call of Duty it would like to see return in the future for Advanced Warfare and it seems that a poll might be used to find out what fans think.

The image posted seems to show off a double barrel revolver, but it's unclear whether Sledgehammer Games aims to introduce a classic weapon or if it will create an entirely new hybrid.

Gamers who have the Season Pass for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare can already use a new OHM weapon, which mixes the capabilities of a shotgun and a machine gun.

Presumably, the revolver will also be offered to dedicated fans and will be able to offer revolver capabilities but also higher firepower.

The focus for Sledgegammer Games is on Ascendance

The development team might be teasing new weapons for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but the studio needs to first finish all the content associated with the coming DLC.

As always, there are four full new maps, each with its distinct environment and killstreak mechanics, which can be used in competitive multiplayer.

A new Infection episode will be introduced for the Exo Zombies mode, with players asked to work together in order to defend a fast-food joint from undead attacks.

Gamers who get Ascendance for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will also get a new Grapple playlist, which allows them to use some single-player mechanics in matches.

The DLC is coming on March 31 on the Xbox One and the 360 and about one month later on the rest of the platforms.

The development team at Sledgehammer Games and Activision have said that they have 2 other packs in development for the shooter.
