Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games shares some pretty nifty tips for the Infection Exo Zombies scenario that's now a part of the game via the Ascendance DLC for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched in November of last year, and developer Sledgehammer Games included not just a good single-player story campaign and an intense competitive multiplayer one but also a pretty decent Exo Survival cooperative mode.

With the debut of the first major map pack, in the form of the Havoc add-on, another co-op mode was added, namely the Exo Zombies.

The second big expansion, Ascendance, which went live for Advanced Warfare on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 at the end of last month, brought another Exo Zombies episode called Infection.

Some great tips about conquering Infection are now available

Now, Sledgehammer Games brings forward some pretty nifty tips concerning the Infection adventure so that players can master the new cooperative experience a bit more easily.

According to the official website, one of the most important pieces of advice is to study the map and the layout of the actual level. There are multiple levels, plenty of entry and exit points, and quite a few weapon dispensers, not to mention a 3D printer, so knowledge is power.

Another big aspect of the new episode is the addition of the Goliath boss zombie, which packs armor and a fierce hammer. Sledgehammer advises players to group up and focus fire on the fearsome enemy, as the beast can certainly punish groups of hesitant survivors.

In terms of the regular zombies, the studio mentions that kiting the undead around the open areas near the Burgertown zone is a great strategy, especially when dealing with lots of opponents. What's more, Sledgehammer also emphasizes the importance of big weapons like the new Magnetron or the CEL-3 Cauterizer, which can turn the tide of a battle.
