The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision might not be ready to offer actual information on the second downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but the companies have just revealed a new and smaller set of items coming to the shooter.

A new Atlas Engineer Gear Drop is set to be introduced on March 17, according to the official Twitter account of the studio, and it looks pretty good in the attached image.

Presumably, Sledgehammer Games will deliver more information about it when the update that adds it to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is live.

The community would very much like to get more information about the next DLC for the shooter, called Ascendance.

Given the way the series has always dealt with content drops, the new package will probably introduce four new maps, more weapons for gamers to use and a new episode of the Exo Zombies cooperative mode.

Rumors are saying that it will be launched in the second half of April on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 and about one month later on the PlayStation 4, the PS3 and the PC.

The OHM weapons that will be included are already live for those who have a Season Pass for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Sledgehammer Games is also adding a new Advanced Supply Drop mechanic

In order to make sure that gamers do not get frustrated if they are unable to get new items regularly through gameplay, the developers are also set to soon introduce a new concept called Advanced Supply Drops.

They are part of the official store and those who buy the packages will get three items and one weapon variant.

Sledgehammer Games says that initially it will place a limit on how many a player can buy and that it has carefully balanced the feature to make sure that it will not have an impact on the actual balance of the title.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will get a total of four DLC packs and the team at Treyarch is already working on a new title in the series, which will probably be revealed at some point in May, with more info to be delivered during E3 2015.
