Activision and Sledgehammer Games have just confirmed the minimum and recommended system requirements for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PC platform, with the two companies also revealing that the field of view setting can be changed from anywhere between 65 and 90 degrees.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to debut at the beginning of next month, and quite a lot of details have already been shared by its developer, Sledgehammer Games, not to mention its publisher, Activision. Plenty of new info has surfaced about the story mode and the multiplayer one, covering both the main plot and the competitive and cooperative game types.

Now, for PC gamers, the two companies have just updated the Steam listing of the new first-person shooter, confirming just what are the minimum and recommended system requirements that must be met by those who want to play it on that platform.

The specifications are relatively steep, and once again a vast majority of PC users who have just 4GB of RAM will find that they won't be able to play the game even on the lowest settings, as they must have at least 6GB of memory.

The rest of the requirements aren't that bad, although a 64-bit Windows operating system is also mandatory, as is a minimum of 55GB of free hard disk space.

The recommended specifications are pretty steep

However, those who want to meet the recommended requirements of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are most probably going to need an upgrade for their computer. Besides the minimum requirements of a modern operating system, quite a lot of hard drive space, and other such things, a beefy graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 with at least 4GB of VRAM is needed.

Throw in the 8GB of regular RAM, not to mention a CPU on the same level as the Intel Core i5 2500K model, and fans are going to need a lot of power to make sure that they can run Advanced Warfare as intended.

An additional note in the system requirements of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is also present and should cause a lot of joy amongst PC gamers. It mentions that the field of view can finally be tweaked in-game from 65 to 90 degrees.

With many previous installments in the series, PC owners had to use third-party mods and tools to change the field of view setting, often risking bans because of it.
