The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are ready to reveal more about the coming Exo Zombies mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, offering fans a look at the official trailer, which features plenty of undead but also some unexpected appearances from top-level Hollywood actors.

The two companies state, "Untrained and unprepared, four Atlas employees must survive a horror unlike any other. John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, and Jon Bernthal star in Exo Zombies, coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC in 2015."

The level of talent associated with the new mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which is cooperative at its core, is equal to the one of the single player, which features Kevin Spacey as the main antagonist.

Gamers who are interested in getting access to the Exo Zombies mode will need to buy the coming Havoc pack for the shooter or commit to the Season Pass.

Gamers will be able to experience a narrative in the new game experience, which will be spread over the four downloadable content packs that will be launched for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Havoc will also introduce new multiplayer maps for the first-person shooter, an extra range of weapons gamers will be able to use, and some tweaks to the other modes.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is big, needs to maintain interest among the player base

The title from Sledgehammer Games and Activision is already a solid seller that has managed to sell more in its first week than any other entertainment experience launched this year.

Now the two companies need to make sure that gamers remain interested in the long term and do not abandon it in order to try out coming titles like the rival Battlefield Hardline, from Electronic Arts.

DLC is an important part of any long-term strategy, but it is not enough by itself.

Sledgehammer Games is at the moment listening to all feedback coming from the players and trying to deliver a constant stream of updates in order to better balance multiplayer matches.

The most recent patch was delivered on the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One not long ago, and it improved connectivity and matchmaking, among a number of other changes.

At the same time, Sledgehammer Games is introducing a new Supply Drop Daily Challenge feature, which is designed to allow gamers to get access to the items they need, including a new exclusive gear set.
