Other players will have to wait for a month to get it

Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are announcing that they will launch the new Ascendance downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on March 31.

The new DLC is designed to introduce the classic load of four new multiplayer maps, a new weapon for gamers to use and an episode which will expand the story of the Exo Zombies mode.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare fans who love to test their skills in multiplayer battles will be able to use: Climate, Site 244, Chop Shop and Perplex.

At the moment, Sledgehammer Games is not offering any clear details about the design of the new battle spaces and the way gamers will be able to exploit their unique elements in order to lead their teams to victory.

The new Exo Zombies episode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is called Infection and it seems that at least one big boss will stand in the way of players who enjoy the cooperative experience.

The OHM weapon is also part of Ascendance and those who have paid for the Season Pass on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 can already use it.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare also needs more balancing patches

Sledgehammer Games is not saying whether it also plans to introduce a new big patch to accompany the launch of Ascendance, but the community has already been talking about the changes that the weapons need in order to make the playing field fairer.

Those who are playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PlayStation 4, the PS3 or the PC will probably have to wait for another month before they get access to the same content.

Ascendance is the second DLC pack for the shooter and it will be interesting to see whether the developers keep the exact same model for the final two content drops.

Currently, Treyarch is the studio at Activision which is working on an entirely new Call of Duty title, meaning that Sledgehammer Games could use its resources to introduce some innovative elements to Advanced Warfare before the community abandons it for the new entry.

Full details about the new experience will be delivered before the E3 2015 event in June.
