14 DAY TRIAL // Most PlayStation 4 owners are certainly enjoying their 500GB of hard drive that are included by default into their console. However, there are many who find the 500GB built-in storage is not enough for their needs.
Hardcore console players want to download and install lots of games on their PlayStation 4, not to mention that saves for each of these games can take up quite a lot of storage as well.
In case you’re one of the PlayStation 4 owners who can’t have enough of storage, then you will be pleased to know that there’s a solution to this problem.
Nyko, a company specializing in accessories for gaming consoles, is currently showcasing a set of interesting accessories for PlayStation 4 at 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Among these new accessories, there’s a special Data Bank, which is supposed to replace the PlayStation 4’s 2.5-inch hard drive and the top of the console with a customized hard drive dock.
A Bluetooth-enabled keyboard that can be attached to DualShock 4 controllers will be available this year too
The hard drive dock launched by Nyko as accessory allows PlayStation 4 owners to replace the console’s hard drive with a 3.5-inch HDD, which can come in any storage size.
As soon as the new HDD is slid into the Data Bank, an LED strip is supposed to illuminate while the console is accessing its memory.
Thanks to Nyko’s new Data Bank and its compatibility with 3.5-inch hard disk drives, PlayStation 4 owners have more options when it comes to storage.
It’s also worth mentioning that “the design of the replacement dock lid seamlessly matches the minimalist design of the PlayStation 4.”
In other news, the Data Bank isn’t the only new accessory showcased by Nyko at CES 2015. An interesting Type Pad that can be used as a Bluetooth keyboard in apps and games will be launched in H1 2015 as well.
The Type Pad can be attached to the DualShock 4 controllers as well, so conversations with fellow players will be much easier now. None of the accessories announced by Nyko has been priced yet.
