While these images can quickly go on social media like Facebook and Twitter, you might be so happy with some of your results that you'd actually want to put them on display. On your desk maybe.
Here’s where the Cubee comes in. As you might have guessed it from the name, this is a 3”x 3” x 3” cubic-looking object which can display and illuminate your favorite Instagram moments.
To create and customize your Cubee you’ll have to log in on the product’s dedicated website with your Instagram account. Once you’re done with that, you can move on to personalizing five sides of the cube, while the sixth one will be left blank (it’s the one that will be lying flat on the desk or table).
The photos will then be sent to Cubee for printing. This will be done on a Kodak Universal Backlit Film, while the light illuminating the images is a 3400K warm white LED that’s said to last up 100k hours or roughly 11.5 years.
Cubee is currently gathering funds on Kickstarter to send this project into mass production. Early bidders can still secure a beautiful glowing cube for $25 / €19 but after the special period is over, pricing goes up to $30 / €23.
