The latest cover of InTouch Magazine features a photoshopped photo of former Olympian / reality star Bruce Jenner, with his face superimposed onto the body of “Dynasty” actress Stephenie Beacham, and the headline “My Life as a Woman.”

The implication to anyone who doesn’t stop to read the smaller headlines is that Bruce, wearing women’s clothes and a face full of makeup, is finally addressing those months-old rumors about how he’s transitioning to female – by confirming them.

That isn’t the case, but he does plan to do so very soon.

Bruce is upset, will speak out

A source close to the family tells Us Weekly that Bruce is very “upset” about the photo and the story that came with it, alleging that he would be coming out as a transgender woman in Out Magazine, wearing an outfit similar to the one shown there.

He hasn’t said anything about the photo controversy just yet, even though many media outlets side with him, against InTouch, accusing the magazine of being transphobic. That will change soon, because he will be addressing the issue the next chance he gets – in front of the cameras, of course.

Production on a new season of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians is about to begin, and Bruce will use this platform to finally go on the record with a statement about all those nasty rumors and speculation.

“Bruce and Kris address his changing appearance in a scene they shot together,” says a source. “It will be a plotline.”

Pressure from the family

The same insider hints that, though Bruce was offended by the cover, it might not have been entirely his decision to speak out and that he could be doing it because his family is pressuring him to finally set the record straight.

Until now, it fell on Kris to discuss his alleged transformation, and she always laughed it off, saying that Bruce was and would remain a man even though he occasionally liked to get his nails done or a blowout for his longer hair. No other member of the family was asked on camera about it.

“His family has been pushing him to make a statement. It’s a serious subject,” the tipster reveals. So whether he likes to or not, Bruce will have to address the big pink elephant in the room – and since this is the Kardashians we’re talking about, it can only happen with a camera crew on site.
