Since 3DS game Bravely Default made its debut in Japan back in 2012, it got hundreds of thousands of fans, perhaps more considering developers announced back in July that the title has sold one million copies worldwide.

Although the game was initially launched in Japan where it topped the sales charts with more than 140,000 copies sold in the first week, Bravely Default became even more popular when it got released in Europe and North America.

Developed by Silicon Studio, Bravely Default received an upgraded version, which was supposed to prepared players for a sequel. The North America and European version of the game are based on the Bravely Default: For the Sequel version.

However, back in December 2013, Square Enix announced Bravely Second, which will continue the saga from the first installment of the series.

There were no additional details on when exactly Bravely Second would make its debut, but Square Enix cleared it all out today by confirming the game would hit shelves on April 23, 2015.

As expected, the game will be initially released in Japan, but we would definitely like to see it released in Europe and North America as soon as possible as well.

Granted, it took Square Enix about a year to bring the Bravely Default to Europe and even more to launch it in North America, we sincerely hope that will not be the case with its sequel.

For the time being, Square Enix only confirmed the release date in Japan, the price for which players will be able to get it and the contents of the Collector’s Edition of Bravely Second.

Japanese blog site Inside-Games reports the standard version of Bravely Second will cost 5,980 yen ($50 / €40), while the Collector Edition will be available for purchase for no less than 14,800 yen ($125 / €100).

Contents of Collector's Pack and bonuses for several retail stores have been revealed as well

In case you’re wondering, here are the contents of the Collector’s Pack:

- Figure: Pope Agnes Special-Make Mini-Figure - Art and Novel: Bravely Default 200 Years Later: Shrine Maiden of the Wind, Edea Oblige - Data CD: Special-Make Mini-Soundtrack (Hi-Res Data CD-ROM) - Goods: U Notebook - Goods: Rubber Strap - Serial Code for Use In-Game

Along with the release date for Bravely Second, Square Enix also announced a few partnerships with local retails for the distribution of the game in Japan.

As such, players who purchase Bravely Second from one of these retailers will receive some goodies for free, along with their copy of the game. Here are all the deals confirmed by Square Enix:

- Square Enix e-Store – customers receive an in-game item called “Trinity Sword,” which has the “Divine Night” ability that grants the effect of HP recovery when attacked in Default. - Amazon.co.jp – customers receive a katana called “Demon Strike” that features the “Shell Divide” ability, which reduces the physical defense of a target while attacking it. - Game Tsutaya and Tsutaya Online Shopping – offer customers the “Holy Lance Garuda” spear with the “Haste” ability. As the name suggests, the spear allows characters wielding it to quicken simple actions for four turns. - Geo – players receive the “Dragon Breath” bow-and-arrow with the “Physical Up” ability. The bow increases the target’s physical attack power.

So there you have it folks, Bravely Second for 3DS will be arriving in Japan as early as April 23, 2015, and hopefully soon in Europe and North America.
