The development team at From Software and publisher Sony are announcing that they are planning to launch a new update labeled 1.03 for Bloodborne before the end of April in order to deal with some issues that the game is still having.

Gamers will be able to experience decreased load times and better performance on the PlayStation 4.

The two companies add on the PS Blog that "The patch also resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play. Additional fixes will be included as well."

This means the reduced difficulty that appears after leaving Bloodborne running for more than 12 hours will no longer allow gamers to beat some bosses quickly and easily.

From Software will continue to listen to the feedback offered by fans in the coming weeks in order to add more changes for update 1.03 if they are needed.

The studio also says that for future server maintenance procedures, it has decided to start the downtime for the game at 1 AM Pacific Time on a no-Friday weeknight to disrupt gaming sessions for as little as possible.

Sony also says that it has managed to sell more than 1 million copies of the game, which is a significant number for an experience that it only offered on the PlayStation 4.

From Software also delivers an update on NAT settings for routers that will enable the best possible Bloodborne experience.

The team is focused on making sure that no game-breaking bugs remain in the coming months, and they will probably then turn their attention to downloadable content.

No official announcements have been made, but From Software has shown with Dark Souls 2 that it can enhance a title via DLC, while also making it engaging for a longer period.

Sony will also be interested in keeping Bloodborne relevant for as long as possible given that it represents one of a limited number of exclusives that it has planned for this year.

From Software might also be thinking about creating a more classic expansion for the title and might aim to launch it before the end of the year.
