During The Game Awards, Sony has showcased a brand new gameplay video for its upcoming Bloodborne role-playing experience, this time depicting a cooperative boss battle in which three players try to take down an imposing monster.

Bloodborne is the next big project from Japanese studio From Software, which earned a loyal following after the stellar Souls titles, from Demon's Souls, to Dark Souls 1 and 2. The studio is working alongside Sony's Japan team to ensure that Bloodborne takes full advantage of the PS4, as it's exclusive for the Sony console.

As mentioned above, a brand new gameplay video has been revealed during The Game Awards ceremony, showing how players can work together and cooperate while exploring the game's world and tackling its huge bosses.

The footage also introduces a brand new boss enemy, in the form of a hunter called Gascoigne, who, as you can see below, succumbs to the dreaded dangers of the world and transforms into a hellish beast during the actual battle.

Expect to hear much more about Bloodborne later this weekend, as part of the PlayStation Experience event.

Bloodborne is set to launch on March 24 in North America, and on March 25 in Europe, exclusively for the PS4 platform. You can admire its new box art below.
