It’s been less than two weeks since new details on Bloodborne have been unveiled during PlayStation Experience event, and now From Software fans are offered another glimpse on what’s to come.

For those who missed the previous news here is a quick recap on what’s been shown at PlayStation Experience. First of all, Bloodborne players will be given the option to visit the so called Chalice Dungeons.

The Chalice Dungeon is an ancient underground ruin located beneath the city of Yharnam, Bloodborne’s main playground.

These dungeons can only be accessed by using holy chalices, and once there players will have a vast area to explore structures on multiple levels. A Chalice Dungeon is usually full of traps and brutal creatures that you will need to hunt down.

The more dangerous a dungeon, the higher the rewards and skilled hunters will be able to claim the loot alone or with the help of other hunters online.

One other thing that developers have shared with fans is the fact that every time a portal opens and a player enters the Chalice Dungeon, its structure changes.

Sony has just confirmed that the Chalice Dungeon will add a lot of additional content and replay value to the full game. It can be uploaded for other people to try out or it can be shared with friends, as well as go online to find new Chalice Dungeons to explore.

Players can visit these Chalice Dungeons even after completing the game, hence the replay value. That means that players will be able to discover all the hidden secrets if they so wish.

Some of the locations in these dungeons have been revealed by Sony in several screenshots, such as oily swamps, as well as gothic, grand halls. Players will have to avoid deadly traps like giant guillotine blades.

Some gruesome beasts that inhabit the dungeons have been shown in screenshots as well. These so-called protectors and protector ritual masters are born in the depths of the dungeons and have never seen the light of day.

The game has been confirmed for release in the US on March 24

The ritual masters are particularly dangerous because they can perform a dark and ancient ceremony that few have lived to tell.

The final enemy, which was already shown during the PlayStation Experience keynote a while ago, the ancient guard dog is shown in a screenshot too. These are said to be among the oldest creatures that you can find in these dungeons, but who knows, something even more frightening can roam the underground halls.

In the same piece of news, Sony has also unveiled the release date of Bloodborne in the United States. By the looks of it, Bloodborne will be launched in the United States on March 24, one day earlier than the European release date.
