Benedict Cumberbatch accidentally reveals that he's got a role in "Star Wars: Episode VII"

Remember when Benedict Cumberbatch positively, absolutely and undeniably claimed that he wasn't taking part in the latest Star Wars movie? The actor seemed pretty adamant at the time, but now he's backtracking.

During a recent taping of the Graham Norton Show, the British actor confessed that he was sort of involved in the movie and that he had already been on the set. Benedict was there to promote his latest film, “The Imitation Game,” and he also made a startling confession.

“I went to the set,” he admitted and added “It was incredible.” Then he all of a sudden realized his blunder and concluded “I probably shouldn’t be saying these things.”

As you might remember, Benedict was rumored back in spring to be attached to the project, having already worked with director J.J. Abrams on the “Star Trek” movie, but he dismissed that scenario by saying it “won't happen.”

Now it seems that he does have a part in the film, but that he's been sworn to secrecy by the director, or, most likely, contractually obliged to keep silent on the matter. Except now we know, and we're free to speculate as to what role exactly he will be playing on screen.
