The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts might be grateful for the data and feedback that were generated via the open beta period for Battlefield Hardline but the companies are saying that there are no plans to make big changes to the core mechanics or modes before the shooter is launched.

The information comes from a new official post from Thad Sasser, the lead multiplayer designer, who is thanking the community for the fact that it was interested in testing the new modes and for the time it did put in during the testing phase.

More than 7 million players were involved with Battlefield Hardline, and apparently the number was higher than Visceral was expecting. However, despite the pressure on the infrastructure, the studio says that it has managed to make the game run smoothly, with the problems that were flagged set to be dealt with before the title is out.

Sasser says that metrics and feedback are still analyzed but that gamers should not "expect sweeping changes in balance or design; we don’t plan on upsetting the apple cart. Remember that we’re always listening and that we welcome constructive dialog about the gameplay. At the same time we want to make sure that our collective vision for Hardline gets a chance to be expressed."

Visceral also claims that the weapon balance and the new Hotwire mode received positive reactions from all those who were part of the Battlefield Hardline beta.

Visceral wants to continue to focus on the player

According to Sasser, the launch and all subsequent content delivers and patches will be focused on the demands and the needs of the player community.

The developer also says that fans should collect the Dev patches once Battlefield Hardline is out while also expecting to see more surprises coming from Visceral Games.

The company has already delivered a lot of details about the class design for the shooter, the vehicles, the gadgets and the Hacker mode, in order to make sure that gamers are prepared for battle as soon as possible.

Battlefield Hardline will be out on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC and last-gen consoles and will be out on March 17 in the United States and March 19 in Europe.
