Gamers can also move on two and four wheels

The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts might have just run a full open beta for Battlefield Hardline, but there are still plenty of details about the title that they are looking to reveal before the title is officially launched on March 17 in North America and on March 19 in Europe.

The two companies are ready to announce the wide range of vehicles that players will be able to use as they seek to dominate the maps that have already been revealed and play both the classic and the entirely new modes for the first-person shooter.

When it comes to four-wheeled transport options, the two factions will be able to use an Armored Rescue Vehicle or a Hardened Attack Truck, with the official description stating, "Heavy armored equipped with a mounted weapon system remotely operated from inside the cabin. Used in high risk situations to provide firepower and protection from small arms. Equipped with bulletproof windows that ensure the safety of the agents inside."

An armored commander center, an SUV, a sedan and a coupe are also included in Battlefield Hardline, with versions for both the cops and the criminals.

Those who love speed will also be able to ride a motorcycle, which will offer less protection when fired upon, and an offroad option is also included.

In the air, the first-person shooter is introducing an attack chopper, which is designed to put pressure on the enemy team, and a transport version, which can move troops from one point of the map to another relatively quickly.

Finally, Battlefield Hardline also includes two versions of a gunboat, complete with weapons that the captain can use while he is also steering the craft.

Battlefield Hardline needs to offer innovation and variety

The new shooter from Visceral Games has been criticized after the first closed beta for the relative lack of content, and the studio has since worked hard to introduce more tools for gamers to use in combat.

The vehicle selection sounds interesting and opens up tactical options, even if some long-term fans of the franchise will certainly feel the lack of attack planes and tanks.

The developers have promised that the weaponry offered will also give gamers plenty of ways to deal with enemy threats.

Battlefield Hardline can be played on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC and last-gen consoles.
