The small elements of the title can still be tweaked

The development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they will share the start date for the open beta of Battlefield: Hardline tomorrow at an undisclosed hour, and in the meantime they explain that the player community has already had a big impact on the development process and can contribute even more before the official launch date.

Steve Papoutsis, the executive producer of the first-person shooter and leader of the studio, explains in an official blog that "We've made bigger changes like re-shaping Heist mode, tweaking progression and the UI to name a few. But we've also focused on the 'small' things. As you'll see in the dev diary video above, gameplay aspects like visual recoil have been perfected thanks to your input."

The game creator says that no major mechanics will be reshaped after the coming beta is done but a lot of small elements of Battlefield: Hardline could be tweaked in order to make sure that the game quality is increased and the fan community is happy.

The constant teasing about the launch date of the beta is a little annoying, but rumors and a listing on the official Xbox Store are suggesting that gamers on all platforms will get access to it starting on February 3, although it is unclear for how long it will run.

Battlefield: Hardline will need to be close to perfect when it launches

Battlefield 4, the most recent major entry in the series, had quite a few issues on launch and DICE had to work hard to make sure that all problems were fixed and that fans regained their trust in the title.

Hardline faces an uphill struggle to be close to perfect on launch because it has already been delayed once after gamers complained during its first beta period that the mechanics did not feel right.

Since then, Visceral Games says that it has enhanced both factions and has made sure that the cops and the criminals tackle combat in different ways.

Battlefield: Hardline will also have a single-player campaign inspired by both television dramas and Hollywood blockbusters.

The game is set to be launched on March 17 in North America and March 19 in Europe on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PC, and last-gen consoles.
