14 DAY TRIAL // Visceral Games has just confirmed what’s been rumored for a few days now. Battlefield: Hardline open beta will run between February 3 and 8.
However, this won’t be just a teaser with the purpose of drawing in more fans but a real beta where players will be asked to offer their feedback on anything that seems broken. In particular, Visceral is looking for feedback on balance, economy but also to identify and patch any remaining issues.
Battlefield Hardline open beta will be available on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Visceral has also announced that players will be allowed to play three modes while in open beta: Hotwire, Conquest and Heist.
Three modes and "Hacker" will be available in open beta on all platforms
The Conquest mode will support only 24 players on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, up to 64 players will be supported. In the open beta, there will be three maps available: Downtown, Dust Bowl and Bank Job.
The new “Hacker” feature will be available in the open beta as well, so one player on each team will be able to hack into security cameras to spot enemies and build an attacking or defending strategy, according to what they see.
Anyone can play as Hacker on all game modes that have been made available for the beta: Hotwire, Conquest and Heist.

We want them to play the hell out of the beta next week and trust that they'll keep that feedback coming so we can continue to fine tune the game,” said Visceral’s CEO Steve Papoutsis.
Battlefield Hardline has been set for release on March 17 in North America and March 20 in the UK, on all platforms.
Update1: Visceral has confirmed that the old clients will not work and those who want in into the beta must download the new one.
