The development team at DICE might be focused on working on its current and future game projects, but it also finds time to engage with the fan community in new ways. The most recent project involving the community is now live, with a full Battlefield 4-powered video, created from clips delivered by the players, which is now available for the Payback track created by Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman X Steve Angello.

The official announcement explains that “Thanks to your amazing video contributions, the official trailer video has now been finalized. Community clips of intense dog fights, insane killstreaks, naval warfare clashes, Levolution moments, and surprise melee attacks all come together to the mesmerizing beat of Payback.”

Gamers were challenged to contribute about four months ago and the community created around Battlefield 4 has stepped up in a big way and has delivered some pretty cool gameplay moments, which are well combined in the video embedded at the end of this article.

At the moment, Battlefield 4 remains one of the most popular multilayer-focused games on the market and DICE has suggested that it might deliver more content for it before the end of spring.

Battlefield is expanding in some interesting ways

The new title in the long-running first-person shooter series is called Hardline and the core development duties are handled by Visceral Games, which is best known for its work on the Dead Space series.

Hardline will no longer be focused on the military and allows players to become either cops or criminals in the multiplayer mode, with the two asymmetrical factions able to compete in a slew of new modes that are designed to offer a more dynamic experience.

The development team says that it has significantly improved the title since the beta period that took place in 2014, when Visceral Games was criticized for the way the game worked.

Meanwhile, DICE is shifting its resources to create Star Wars: Battlefront, which is expected to arrive in the fall of this year and will use the universe that’s also inhabited by the new movie trilogy.

More details about the core mechanics and the weapons and vehicles used will probably be offered at E3 2015.
