Good news and bad news for Batman: Arkham Knight fans, as developer Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. have just shared a brand new gameplay video recorded on the PS4 console, but also a fresh delay that pushes back the game's release until June 23.

Batman: Arkham Knight was revealed to the world quite some time ago and developer Rocksteady emphasized that it needed extra time to make sure that the new Batmobile works as intended in the new title and that its huge world can entertain fans of the caped crusader.

A fresh delay has just been confirmed for Arkham Knight

Since then, several delays were made, pushing back the release of the title from fall of last year to early June, and now a new one has just been confirmed by the two companies behind the game.

As such, Batman: Arkham Knight is now set to appear on June 23, worldwide, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

In order to make the wait a bit more bearable, a new gameplay video, which chronicles some of the opening sequences in the new title, has also been revealed.

Lots of great mechanics are portrayed in the video

The footage, recorded on the PS4, shows Batman explore Gotham City after talking with longtime ally Commissioner Gordon about the bomb threat made by Scarecrow against the citizens of Gotham.

You can also admire the superhero use the all-new fear takedown mechanic, which allows him to take out up to four enemies in quick succession. Some brutal fights using fists and baseball bats follow, and then the Dark Knight summons the Batmobile for a brief race around the city while pursuing bad guys.

You can check out all the impressive sequences below and look forward to the game's debut in late June. Until then, expect to see even more details and other gameplay information to appear from Rocksteady and Warner Bros.
