A few known issues remain to be ironed out

BlackBerry has just released new beta version of its BBM application for iOS devices. Those who have been accepted into beta will be pleased to know that the latest update brings lots of improvements and bug fixes.

Most of the improvements included in the update refer to the new features added in the previous versions of BBM: timed messages and message retraction.

Both of these features were initially offered for free, but they are now available for a monthly subscription, otherwise users will only be able to take advantage of them a few times.

The latest iOS beta version of BBM brings a new option that allows users to edit messages with the Timed Message and Message Retract subscription.

Users will now be able to submit Bug Reports from the Main Screen. Simply select Left-Menu from Main Screen, then choose Report a Problem / Send Report by E-Mail / Fill-out all relevant fields.

Lots of bug fixes have been included in the update

As mentioned earlier, some bug fixes have been implemented as well. You can check out the full list below, courtesy to CrackBerry:

- Truncated title and description after rotation; - Featured Channels' avatars displayed on top of bottom margin; - Navigation Bar Channel Avatar is wrong aspect ratio and squished; - BBM crashes or freezes when Callee answers and Caller hangs up almost at the same time; - Entering Arabic numbers as PIN won't work for 'Type a PIN to start a chat'; - Arabic layout for chat scrambles up when rotating screen; - Emoticons cover text when replacing text.

Last but not least, there are two known issue that haven't been fixed in this build, but they might be addressed in the next version of BBM:

- Right hand side menu does not update; - Dropbox attachment won't be displayed properly right after sending a Replace message.

Keep in mind that the beta update is only available for BBM for iOS, so Android and Windows Phone users will probably have to wait a while longer for this build to arrive on their platforms.
