The Hard mode for Crota’s End might only have been introduced a few days ago, but the development team at Bungie has already seen a number of player teams complete it, apparently without taking advantage of any glitches, and it is now ready to offer more info for the rest of the community, which might be tempted to try something similar in the near future.

The official update explains that “Twenty four hours later, 557,354 Raids had been launched. Properly staffed, that’s 3,344,124 Guardians descending into the Hellmouth over the course of a full day. Those stats made this the largest stampede yet – more than double the population of the very first run on Atheon. Community fervor intensifies!”

There are also more details on the One and Done clan, who managed to get through the Hard mode of Crota’s End first.

They claim that they have not and will not use cheese tactics, and a similar statement is made by the runners-up, who livestreamed their attack on Crota on Twitch.

The team at Bungie is also saying that a huge number of players have picked up the Ice Breaker weapon from Xur, with the character getting 19,436,440 coins from the community, which is the equivalent of 2,159,604 Weekly Heroic Strikes on the highest difficulty.

This means that 1,143,320 sniper-focused weapons are now wielded by Destiny players, which could significantly change the balance of the experience.

Destiny is getting ready for another big end game raid

Crota’s End might be the focus at the moment and it’s very possible that Bungie will introduce some more tweaks to the game to eliminate glitches in the coming weeks.

But the developers are also working on a new expansion for the social shooter, called House of Wolves, which according to a leak will be available as early as March and will introduce the same amount of new activities and weapons as The Dark Below.

Later in the year, players should also be ready for a bigger update that will also introduce entirely new areas to explore and might tweak some of the core experiences.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 Destiny upgrade program has also been extended indefinitely.
