Destiny's latest DLC launch was not without issues. Even as we speak, there are quite a lot of issues that Bungie needs to address in order to make the game playable for some.

However, in an update to a previous blog, developers confirm in a more spiritual way that they have banned some Destiny players for using modified consoles.

Citing “shadowing forces who protect the world of Destiny from shadowy activities, Bungie stated that they are “routinely review Banhammer actions to ensure that they are applied accurately and fairly. A review of the bans applied over the last week shows that all of the affected accounts had logged into Destiny on a modified console at some point.”

No additional details on the number of people involved have been disclosed yet, but Bungie suggests that Destiny players “use the boxes” that their favorite retailer “gave” them.

Bungie offers some temporary workarounds to Destiny issues

Moving on to some of the issues that some Destiny players may still encounter while playing the game, Bungie also offers some workarounds that should provide them with a temporary solution until a permanent one gets delivered.

For example, Destiny players who notice that their games had reverted to Trial mode may want to check their console messages for instructions.

Apparently, Bungie is sending these messages to those with this specific issue, but if you don't receive one, then the only thing you can do is wait.

Then there's another issue that affects Xbox One players where Destiny is re-downloading a patch each time the game is played. There are a few solutions to this issue, so feel free to try them all out and see which one works for you.

First of all, you should use a wired connection when patching. Secondly, make sure you try clearing you cache. Thirdly, and the most troublesome, uninstall and re-install the game.

If none of the workarounds provided by Bungie works for you, then you can only wait for developers to resolve the issue.

Last but not least, some issues have been discovered since The Dark Below DLC was launched, which affect different platforms.

Depending on your issue, Bungie has created a few threads here and here, which should provide you with some assistance until a fix is released.

Although it's working hard to fix these issues, it will probably take some time for Bungie to fix all these issues. If you haven't got your copy yet, make sure you check out our Destiny review to have a glimpse of what it has to offer.
