Ubisoft confirms that it's assembled different teams to make sure that the various online issues affecting the cooperative mode in Assassin's Creed Unity are getting fixed as soon as possible, although it highlights that finding the solutions is easier said than done.

Assassin's Creed Unity was one of the most anticipated games of the year, as millions of fans looked forward to seeing how Ubisoft and its array of global studios are going to innovate in the series. The publisher promised overhauled versions of the combat, exploration, or stealth systems, but once the game appeared, it became clear that many didn't work as intended.

The actual title is currently filled with all sorts of unpleasant issues, from bad framerate, to glitches, crashes, and other such errors that have caused a fierce backlash against Ubisoft amidst fans .

The company has already posted several patches for the game but there are still plenty of issues that persist and still give headaches to owners of the game.

Co-op problems are taking priority for Ubisoft

Among them there are quite a few problems encountered by people when trying to play with others via the all-new online cooperative mode. The game either crashes or refuses to connect in quite a few of these cases.

Ubisoft confirms on its live update page that it's placing a big emphasis on solving these co-op problems, as multiple teams have been formed inside its different studios so that they're fixed as soon as possible.

"Our efforts to stabilize online co-op for ACU continue. As one of a very short list of top priorities, we've mobilized strike teams for the express purpose of getting you back online and running Heists and Brotherhood Missions with your friends. Since the co-op feature is a key addition to the series, getting this feature back on-track is a major focus of the team here," the publisher explains.

Server-side fixes and even game updates might go live soon

Many of these solutions will be implemented directly into the game's co-op servers but some will be present in actual game updates. Unfortunately, they will take time to develop, so until then the company just advises players to be present in the game's world before trying to connect to others.

"We hope to have the situation improved with some server-side alterations, but if more substantial fixes are still required we'll need to roll out a patch, and that will take a bit longer to address. As a temporary workaround for Xbox One users, we do recommend that you connect in game before joining a friend in a party. This seems to help in many cases," the company adds.

Unfortunately, there's no time frame for when the next update for Unity is set to appear. The latest one launched over the weekend, in the form of patch 1.02 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
