You can get a glimpse of the dimension the Ebola panic has reached in the United States by watching the local news. There is no doubt that Americans are freaking out of the virus, and despite numerous reports that America isn't under any threat to become a hot spot for the deadly virus, many Americans are freaking out.

So it's no wonder that the Sun is reporting that today American singer Ariana Grande is canceling her trip to Spain, a country that has had a few Ebola cases, over fears that she too might contract the virus. The 21-year-old was expected to make a trip to Spain this month in order to promote her new album. “My Everything,” but the newspaper claims that she has since changed her mind.

Ariana's team don't think it's a good time to go to Spain because of Ebola

In fact, it was her management team which made the decision, despite the fact that Spain has only had a few cases of Ebola, as did the rest of Europe.

One insider revealed to The Sun that “Ariana’s promo trip had to be canceled – her team weren’t prepared to take any chances during the incubation period. Of course, some people might think it’s an over-reaction but everyone agreed it was the right decision. It’s nothing against her Spanish plans and she was conscious to make sure the visit was put back in the diary in the future.”

“They ended up having to juggle all her plans at the last minute and reschedule the trip. Ariana headed to Paris instead and now won’t get round to visiting Spain until November at the earliest, if at all this year,” explains the same source, indicating that the decision did not come lightly.

This is clearly an overreaction since there are only a few cases in Europe at the moment

While most of you might think that this is an overreaction, such a response is in fact predictable when you take into consideration all the fear-mongering that the American media has pumped into the public in the last couple of days, as two confirmed cases of Ebola have hit the United States.

Ariana's representatives have yet to confirm the rumors, but if it turns out to be true, it proves how little time Ariana's management actually have put into researching the Ebola virus. In a country with tens of millions of people living there, several cases of Ebola contracted by people who actually went to Africa does not constitute an epidemic.

It might be argued that such a rash response from Ariana Grande and her team is not the best for her image at the moment, since she's already been involved in several scandals which called her a diva and recalled some of her “diva-like” antics.
