Publisher Nordic Games has yet to officially announce the PS4 version of Arcania: The Complete, but the bundle has just been listed at Amazon so it might be confirmed soon.

Arcania: The Complete Tale is now listed at Amazon Germany and will be released on May 29. The game can be pre-ordered for €29.99, but keep in mind that the launch date might be just a placeholder.

Arcania: The Complete Tale for PS4 includes Arcania and Arcania “Fall of Setarrif” and is already available in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Just like the PC and PS3/Xbox 360 versions of Arcania, which were initially released under the Gothic series, the PS4 version has dropped the reference. Arcania: The Complete Tale won’t be released as Gothic IV and that shouldn’t be surprising.

The Gothic name was dropped by publisher Nordic Games last year, but no additional details have been shared yet. Rumors speculated that the original developer of the Gothic game, Piranha Bytes might have regained rights to the series, but these have not been confirmed for the moment.

We expect some visual improvements and possibly smoother gameplay

Unfortunately, we have no information on any of the improvements developer Spellbound or whoever else will be porting the game to PlayStation 4, will bring to Arcania.

The listing on Amazon does not offer any additional details on anything regarding the features included in Arcania: The Complete Tale for PS4.

Since the console version of the game received mostly negative reviews due to the bad porting, fans of the franchise will probably be reluctant to pre-ordering the game before watching some gameplay videos or checking out some screenshots.

Anyway, we will keep an eye out on Arcania’s upcoming release on PS4 and will update the story once we get additional information, so stay tuned.
