After plenty of rumors, Sony now confirms the April 2015 lineup for its PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, revealing that Tower of Guns and Never Alone will be free for PS4 owners with Plus subscriptions, while Dishonored, Killzone Mercenary and others go free on PS3 or PS Vita.

The PlayStation Plus subscription has offered PlayStation console owners some great deals over the last few years as Sony has striven to bring forth monthly free games, in addition to other discounts and advantages, such as multiplayer access on the PS4.

April's games include heavy hitters

Now, just as we're entering April, Sony confirms on its PS Blog the lineup of free titles that will join the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection next month.

First up, on the PS4, there are Tower of Guns and Never Alone. The first game, as its name suggests, focuses on a tower filled with guns and throws in randomly generated enemies, bosses, guns, and much more. It's available for free on both the PS4 and the PS3. Meanwhile, Never Alone is a puzzle adventure game in which a native Alaskan girl must try to save her village alongside a pet fox.

PS3 and PS4 owners can also enjoy another cross-gen free game, in the form of Aaru's Awakening, a puzzle platform with a distinct visual style that demands great precision and well-timed reflexes.

Dishonored, the fantastic stealth game made by Arkane Studios and Bethesda several years ago, is also available for free during April on the PS3, so prepare to sneak around and use all sorts of powers and weapons.

Last but not least, PS Vita users are also treated to two great titles, in the form of Killzone Mercenary and MonsterBag. Killzone Mercenary, in case you don't already own it for the PS Vita, offers a new point of view on the whole conflict from the series and brings great first-person shooter action. MonsterBag, on the other hand, is a delightful puzzle platformer that requires a fair amount of skill.

The new free games join the PS Plus lineup next week, on April 8, in North America, and April 9, in Europe.
