Amanda Bynes is having serious problems again, and the behavior she displayed only a few weeks ago, right before she was admitted on involuntary hold again, pending psychiatric evaluation, was only the tip of the iceberg, it has emerged.

Her parents have just been granted conservatorship over her again, after a judge ruled that she remains a danger to herself and others, with TMZ reporting that what tipped the scales in her parents’ favor was their ability to prove that Amanda is completely out of control on her own.

It isn’t just the weed smoking and the drinking and the rumored plastic surgery that she’s doing to harm herself: Amanda has also managed to burn through her millions in almost record time.

Erratic, violent behavior throughout her stay in NYC

In September this year, the conservatorship over Amanda was over and a judge ruled that she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself and her finances without interference from her parents, in whose care she’d been since last year, when another troubling episode landed her in a mental institution against her will.

Shortly after, Amanda packed her bags and moved out of her parents’ LA home, back to New York. She spent a short time here talking to journalists, biking, claiming she was engaged to be married and ready to pop out babies (but only boys, because she’d be “jealous” if she had a beautiful daughter, “ew!”), clawing random people in clubs, dancing in shops, and trying to shoplift expensive hats.

When she wasn’t out and about, Amanda spent a great deal of time on Twitter, on two separate accounts, either writing that she was being “held hostage” in dressing rooms by people who were trying to snap her picture, or accusing her father of molesting her as a child – and her mother of standing by and letting it happen.

Even when not asked directly what was going on in her life, she would tweet that she wasn’t crazy and definitely not doing drugs or drinking alcohol.

“Extensive” spending that nearly ruined her

According to documents filed by her parents in court, she also spent a fortune on expensive Cartier jewelry, which she must have given to strangers, because they didn’t find the items on her person or among her possessions.

The celebrity publication mentions that her parents believe she would simply go out shopping at the fancy stores, pick up whatever items she liked, and then hand them out to strangers in the street. This might sound like a great thing to happen to you if you’re the stranger in question, but it left a huge dent on Amanda’s finances.

The retired actress’ worth is estimated right now at about $5.7 million (€4.47 million), of which $2.8 million (€2.19 million) is invested in real estate. She made less than $150,000 (€117,790) from her rental property in 2013, but on the other hand, she’s been spending like crazy.

She must have burned through most of her liquidities, the report implies. The judge agreed that, for the time being, Amanda is better off with her parents handling all financial and professional decisions for her.
