No launch date has been announced for it

Halo 5: Guardians might be the biggest Xbox One release of the year, and the development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft have joined forces with traditional partners McFarlane Toys to create a range of action figures associated with the shooter.

The most recent addition to the line-up is a product based on Agent Locke, which is designed to capture the essence of the character and to give collectors an interesting piece to own.

In an interview with the creators of the action figure posted on the official site, gamers can learn more about the way such a product is created.

McFarlane Toys states, "When you’re looking at a 2-D character in the game, like Locke, there can be shortcuts with how the armor lays on the body because you don’t see all angles. However, when working with a 3-D model, those shortcuts don’t work because the armor might intersect and interfere with the pose and articulation."

Initially, a prototype is created, and then the company works with 343 Industries and Microsoft to make sure that the action figure is up to standard before it is mass produced.

For now, no official launch date has been offered for the Agent Locke figure, and it's unclear whether there are plans to create a special package for Halo 5: Guardians that will include it.

The new Halo is supported by movies and other content

343 Industries and Microsoft have already announced a range of books based on the franchise that will be launched between now and the end of the year.

Video content might also be used to support the coming title, but the two companies have downgraded the capabilities of the studios handling such projects after the limited impact of the recent Nightfall series.

Halo 5: Guardians will be introduced on October 27 on the Xbox One.

The title is designed to offer two perspectives on the actions of Master Chief and will feature some mysterious new teams of Spartans.

On the multiplayer front, the game will introduce new modes and will give gamers a range of new movement and combat skills their characters can use.
