14 DAY TRIAL // Handset makers that are basing their portfolios on affordable Android smartphones aren't necessarily looking to make their products especially beautiful.
However, it looks like Indian company Intex has made an exception with its new Cloud M5 II cheap smartphone that will soon be available for purchase.
According to Intex, its new affordable smartphone will be exclusively available in India via Flipkart for only Rs 4,799 ($75 / €70) outright. It will be launched in both white and black colors, but the former looks much better.
As a matter fact, the press renders show a gorgeous device, especially considering its low price. Also, Intex added another component that might set the Cloud M5 II apart from other smartphones in the same price and spec range.
The 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back features dual-LED flash instead of just single LED like most of budget-friendly handsets. There's also a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera in the front for selfies.
Android 4.4 KitKat and quad-core CPU
On the inside, Intex Cloud M5 II is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Speadtrum SC7731 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The smartphone also sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that offers a disappointing FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution. The Cloud M5 II is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and offers dual-SIM support.
As expected, Intex included Android 4.4 KitKat operating system instead of the newer Lollipop OS. It's also worth mentioning the smartphone comes pre-loaded with a set of apps like Clean Master, Ask Me and OLX.
