Day-by-day rundown

On Monday, more info was offered on the free-to-play switch for The Elder Scrolls Online, a beta update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was delayed, more details arrived about The Witcher 3, and Ubisoft removed Far Cry 4 and Watch Dogs copies from Steam, saying that they were illegally acquired.

On Tuesday, a new rollercoaster park game was revealed for 2016 and EA Sports predicted that the New England Patriots would win the Super Bowl XLIX title on Sunday.

At the same time, CD Projekt discussed the frame rate of The Witcher 3 and Valve issued some bans for those who cheated in Counter-Strike.

On Wednesday, Black Tusk celebrated the acquisition of Gears of War by not offering details on the new game in the series, a major patch was delivered for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and rumors talked about a new Assassin’s Creed VII that might be set in Japan.

On Thursday, a soundtrack was launched for free for League of Legends and Electronic Arts talked a little about the Battlefield: Hardline beta.

We also found out the games included in the Games with Gold initiative for February, and Valve talked about the Steam Workshop and the revenue it can generate.

On Friday, a new Evolve video focused on single player was launched, Starcraft II Legacy of the Void was said to arrive later in the year, Ermac was shown for Mortal Kombat X and finally a rumor hinted at the abandonment of Heroes of the Storm by Blizzard.
